A stunning diamond and pearl tiara scored £1,161,250 at a London auction. The tiara belonged to Hannah de Rothschild who was once known as the richest woman in Britain.
Three piece of jewelry including this were sold at ‘Important Jewels Sale’ by Christie’s.
Keith Penton, Head of Jewels at Christie’s said, “They are a rare survival of 19th century British splendor, as so much ancestral jewellery has been sold anonymously, remounted or broken down.”
